Nelson Kiu
Senior paralegal
Nelson is a senior paralegal in Stephenson Harwood’s international data protection practice and a qualified lawyer in Malaysia (Malaya and Sarawak). Nelson completed an LLM in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law, with a focus on data protection law, at the University of East Anglia.
He also holds Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E), specialising in various aspects of UK and EU data protection and privacy laws.
Nelson advises on a full range of data protection and privacy matters, particularly in the context of M&A and private equity transactions, data subject access requests, international data transfers, cookies and direct marketing, and data protection compliance programmes. Nelson has previously completed a secondment at Transport UK Group (formerly Abellio), working on a group-wide data protection project.
